I was pretty excited for Amber and Jim's wedding: it was at a winery (one of my favorite places to be on a sunny Saturday in the Midwest), it was October (my favorite season in the Midwest!), and it was the wedding of two really awesome, laid back and fun people who are completely and utterly in love. Amber and Jim planned a really relaxed day; after the ceremony we stopped at one of their favorite restaurants in town to get some lunch and hang out, and we had tons of time for taking portraits at the beautiful Spirit Knob winery. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Martin!! Enjoy the images...

When I photographed Lindsey + Ryan's engagement session last November, I inquired as to why they had picked this weekend to get married. The reason was because Ryan insisted he couldn't have his wedding on a day the Cards might be in the World Series. Just in case. Ryan you did the right thing :)
Their wedding took place just in time to catch the last vestiges of fall. Crisp air and a beautiful sunset... perfect! I love the classy sophistication of all the details, from the pewter/blush color palette to the black ornate candle holders used as center pieces. And with a stunning view of the city, Point of View was the perfect location for the reception.
One of my favorite things about weddings is seeing the expression on the couple's faces right as they are announced husband and wife. Pure excitement :) Ryan and Lindsey were no exception. Enjoy the images!

Alicia and Jeremiah tied the knot over Labor Day weekend in San Diego. As you can imagine the beach they went to for photos was super crowded... Which is why it's really fun to do a love session or trash the dress after your wedding, especially if you have a tight wedding day schedule or your "portrait taking time" occurs at high noon with harsh sun. We hung out at a local park for an hour and then headed to Pacific Beach just as the sun was setting. I love the pink sunset glow. These two are so adorable. And Alicia has aaaaaamazing eyes! Enjoy the images....
